If you've never heard of soap nuts before, you're missing out.  Not only are they completely all natural and you can use them time and time again before you have to toss them out, but they are also very beneficial.  Some of these benefits include antimicrobial, hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial, pet safe, and a natural insect repellent.  But, that is only a small few of the long list of benefits using soap nuts.  They are so versatile, you can use them all over the house from family members to your pets.  They can be used as a laundry detergent, shampoo, pet shampoo, shaving cream, hand soap, and even can be used as an all-purpose cleaner.  Just take about half of the nuts out of the bag, and boil them in water for a couple hours.  Strain them and let them dry completely to use again.  The water that the soap nuts were boiled in becomes your soap.  Add a little bit of your favorite carrier oil and some vitamin e to the water to help give it a little more moisturizing effect, especially if you have hard water like we do.  When the soap nuts start to get mushy is when you need to throw them out, so you will get TONS of uses from just 1 batch.
